This week’s guest of the “Konakta Hasbihal” program—one of the traditional events of Uşak University—was Mr. Mustafa Sezer, Chairman of the Board of Uşak Commodity Exchange.

Organized in collaboration with the Department of International Trade and Finance and the Faculty of Applied Sciences, the event brought Mr. Sezer together with our students, where he sincerely shared his career journey in the business world, his professional experiences, and the challenges he encountered along the way.

The event, held in a warm and friendly atmosphere at the Konak, was attended by Prof. Dr. Lütfi Özav, Vice Rector of Uşak University; Prof. Dr. Hilmi Özkaya, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences; Mr. Hasan DURU, Provincial Coordinator of the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Boz, Deputy General Manager of Zafer Teknopark; as well as faculty members and students from the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

The program featured a musical performance by Dr. Onur Altıntuğ, Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, and Meltem Altıntuğ, Lecturer at the Faculty of Sports Sciences.

In his speech, Mr. Sezer shared his personal journey from education to professional life, emphasizing the importance of gaining experience and embracing continuous development when planning a career. He also provided detailed information about the ongoing activities under the Uşak Commodity Exchange. The meeting evolved into an engaging and productive session, where students had the opportunity to ask questions and gain insights into the business world.

At the end of the event, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Özav presented a plaque to Mr. Sezer, while Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hilmi Özkaya, presented a certificate of appreciation. The program concluded with a group photo taken with all participants.
