The fourth session of the UTF Business Talk series, organized by the Department of International Trade and Finance, was successfully held on May 9, 2025.
As part of the International Trade Agreements and Free Zone Practices course, the guest speaker Mr. Ali KILIÇ, Director of Uşak Customs, met with our students and delivered a presentation titled “The Functioning of Customs Directorates.”
During the session, Mr. KILIÇ provided comprehensive information on the structure and role of public institutions in foreign trade operations. Key topics included:
- The organizational structure and operational procedures of customs directorates,
- Import and export processes and documentation,
- Regulatory frameworks in free zones and customs audits,
- An overview of KPSS Group A and B classifications and entry paths into public sector careers.
Mr. KILIÇ also shared his personal career experiences and offered valuable advice to students interested in pursuing careers in the public sector. The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to engage in a Q&A session and gain deeper insight into customs procedures and public administration.
