Research Assistant Dr. Burcu Yürük, a faculty member of our department, met with elementary school students at the event titled “Global
Warming and Climate Change,” held at the Uşak Atatürk Cultural Center as part of the TÜBİTAK Science Talks Program.

The discussion, designed to be appropriate for the elementary school level, addressed the fundamental causes of global warming, the effects
of climate change on daily life, and simple yet effective measures that individuals can take, presented in a clear and accessible manner. The
topic was supported with visuals and illustrative examples, taking the students’ age level into consideration.

Throughout the discussion, the students’ keen interest and insightful questions once again highlighted the importance of fostering environmental
awareness from an early age. The event provided a productive platform for engaging the community with science and enhancing climate
awareness among children.

We extend our sincere thanks to all institutions and stakeholders who contributed to the successful organization of this meaningful event
that connected young learners with science.
